Linedancers grapevined into Lyme Bay Holiday Village on Friday (1st Dec 06) for a linedance party weekend hosted by TXX Promotions Ltd. The dancing was kicked off by Pedro, setting toes tapping to a variety of country oldies including Wishful Thinking and Tempted.
Saturday night brought duo Diamond Jack to the stage featuring a dazzling repertoire of no 1 dances including Heartbreaker, Be Strong and Bosa Nova, finishing their final set with a string of encores.
Texas Tornados wrapped up the weekend in style with a range of country and rock & roll hits, including Hot Tamales, Ain't Goin' Down and God Blessed Texas. One of the highlights was lead singer Pete Stothard joining the lines on the dancefloor to "dance the night away".
Throughout the weekend Silver Stetsons, aka Terry and Mel Fisher, provided disco support and teaching. Dances taught included Heart of an Angel and Alibis and Lies.
For those who didn't want to dance til they dropped, excursions to Weymouth and Exeter were also available.
